to blog or not to blog

that is the question. i just read a friend's blog and he too was wondering that. like him, i could just write my thoughts into my ultra thick journal yet again. i just read 'Blogging for Dummies' and there i really tortured my self esteem. i mean--people actually write these blogs every day- some more than once a day!!!! and btw- you aren't really supposed to use excessive exclamation points, or write the way that i have just decided to do, which is the way i write most emails. someone may actually read this and think something important of me--or the other way around!! Lol! someone important may read this and think less of me. that leads me to my next question of who is important? and at the ripe old age of 50something,, you'd think that i might just get over the fact that whoever i deem important may not actually care what i blog about--and if they do maybe i should care less about pleasing them and more about pleasing God. which leads me to my final question ( for now) what does pleasing God look like? mostlZ- He really - really loves us (me included) so maybe the question is simply what displeases God??? my friend i was referring to that was bloggering about whether to write or not is someone (to me) who is really pleasing God- our Heavenly Father- I can just see HIM up on His majestic throne- smiling down at Brad the Dad and his entire wonderful family there in Hong Kong ministering to the boys of Sheng sheng school-- i mean wow! check it out - whatamanfound.blogspot.com or- offtoohk.blogspot.com and my friend in Kenya-- over 60 and she is out there every day, touching the lives of widows and orphans-, she gets malaria every few months, and thinks it's like a cold. and the people of my church--so many who go every year to help thru Hope for the Nations and Be a Hero--not to mention the many who are living the missionary life and have done so for years. i have another friend - marg, who lives her mission in Calgary--Bridges of Love. she is a bridge of love, helping churches to help in the community thru acts of kindness. and my awesome sister and eddie her husband with an amazing church in alabama that is reaching out locally and globally and the love pours thru--Gracehouse.info I just think all this pleases God. then there are those of us, who just live life. myself. just a wife. a mom. a library worker. i cant go to HK, or the other side of the world--at least not right now--but maybe never. i dont have a formal ministry. no pastorship. apostleship. maybe some discipleship. but does that make my life less pleasing to our Father? i know some people who complain about their lives every time they open their mouths and i dont want to be like that. and i dont want to judge them either, because, maybe all they can see is what they cannot do- or cannot have-- or willnot be. and does that life displease a Father who is so deeply in love with his child? or does He smile upon that life, just as he smiles upon those who live ministry? we give what we can. silver or gold, i have not, but what i have i give. so get up, diana--and pick up your mat and walk. yeah! i am on my way to work. so i will just go and take what i can offer. a smile. a thank you. some mercy. and a prayer always a prayer.

I have one thing to say to you my dear friend - I could not be here, if you are not there supporting me!!! That is truth, not lip service like a chocolate bar that tastes good but no nutrients. You are one of the most precious Jesus lovers I know, and that is the only thing that matters. Please keep blogging, I love reading your thoughts here.
