the door

Last blog- birthday-
My husband gave me a beautiful pearl necklace that i have penned the
"gate of heaven". It's a large oval, colorful pearl on a square gold setting, given in love. To me, the gate of heaven is about love. For where else does God meet us? (Gen 28:17)
Where do we lead others to Christ if not thru love?
Just recently i have read a book by Ted Dekker- "Tea with Hezbollah"
It brings Jesus' teaching about the Good Samaritan into a very focused and modern viewpoint. As i read the last couple chapters today in my work place lunchroom, i cried. I didnt cry because the story was so sad, i cried because so very few of us go thru that narrow gate.
or yellow door,
or gate of heaven.
We call ourselves Christian, but what does that mean?
There's a door we must open, to see our neighbors as they are, and to love them.
My friend, Vicki wanted to see what i would write in context to this picture of the door.
As we enter this next season, my prayer is that we will allow God to meet us at His gate and show us how to love our neighbors in the truth of His Spirit.
Lets open this door and share our journeys as we share His love.
