2011

Well! Hello
It's been a year all right!
Where I dont long to go into my account of what has been, people everywhere are telling me about the tough times they have been thru. My own journey has been no exception.
That's why- it a great time to look forward.
Let the sun set on this season, as we look forward to dawn of a new day.
"...reaching forward to what lies ahead." Phillipians 3:13-
And that's what ADVENT is all about.
"Advent" means coming or arrival.
I am so looking forward to the arrival of this coming season. Not just the Season of Advent, but the Season of the coming year and the Hope of what Christ has in store for us.
Join me, if you like, as I go thru this Advent season with a reading plan from YouVersion.com.
"Christmas Begins With Christ"
Day 1- a reading from Isaiah 9. It's a common place to begin this season.
If we look into the entire chapter we see some things that aren't as pleasant as the Hope found in Christ. Yet even in the devastation in these later verses, we see ourselves mirrored.
I'm no theologian, but my heart tells me that our Heavenly Father desires us to see what turning from Him can bring, while in His great love, He reminds our hearts of His promise of hope.
In Isaiah's time, that Hope had not yet come. For some today, hope seems far away.
But look ahead with me- if you can. If you can only look down, look at your hands. My prayer, is that as you do, you will see the Miracle of how God has formed you. You are special and one of a kind.
May Jesus' Light shine upon you and may the burdon you have been carrying, be removed.
In the YouVersion post it tells of Tikapur, Nepal. A community transformed by the love and the hope of Christ Jesus. 40 years ago there were only 2 believers, now over 900.
You may think "I can't wait that long to see transformation!"
-but KNOW that
"He who began a good work in you (is faithful and) will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil 1:6
That's looking forward to His Second Arrival
May the Prince of Peace fill your heart with JOY
